Any Suggestions for Trading a Vehicle

Filed under: autos — todofimli @ 11:21 pm

It's time for me to get rid of my 2003 Honda Accord (valued at approx €8K) as our family now requires a bigger vehicle (2 grown ups, 1 child and twins expected soon).

I have got to say that the car has treated me noticeably satisfactorily and I have, in no way, felt the shortahge of power; and the only motive that I want to put it on the market is 'coz I'm currentlyhoping for something bigger.

Could you endorse any vehicles around the same rate that are:
a) more spacious
b) similar low emission
c) advantageous on quick drives (since that's what we principally do)
d) proficient on mileage

I am eagerly looking forward to purchasing my different car, however it should not be exceedingly costly, yet be a vehicle that I can bank on, and also one that is trouble-free to take care of.

Basically, if the car that I mention has treated you in a good way however you simply need to swap it for something which gives you more space, in that case which one would you select? I am fond of the look of the Nissan Xterra. But I feel it would be hard to get one in that budget. All wheel drives could be practical for us seeing that we reside in the Blue Mountains and we do have a number of off road tracks are present, although it's not compulsory for the car to be an all wheel drive.

While I wait I think I'll just bear on zipping around in a rented car

All your suggestions would be very appreciated.

A Different SUV for my Dad

Filed under: automobiles — todofimli @ 7:24 pm

My old man just returned his Ford Explorer and is on the lookout to charter something else. He previously expressed that this drive was a bit too rough on his back and also that the engine capacity was more than he wanted… Now he's looking for a 4 cylinder or a diminutive 6, and it has to be Offroader given that he does surfing, etc… and this is the solitary big car in the house, I borrowed his vehicle quite a few times to relocate things all over the place as I drive a Toyota Prius and my wife a Scion Xa.

In any case, the cost; it's unquestionably under US $30k after taxes and fees.

He liked the Mazda CX7, but it's way too underpowered, the Turbo variant has admirable power and drives well, but for the price he feels he can do better.

He received a great deal at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he is concerned with dependability ever since our Audi A6 and VW Beetle were constantly breaking down. I told him that with a 36-month lease he shouldn't face any difficulties (as opposed to owning the Jeep Wrangler like he did for about 4 years).

Then there is the contemporary Kia Sorento, a pretty darn enjoyable vehicle, you can smell quality all over if you choose to explore this car… My father also suggested that he might have purchased the SUV already if it wasn't because the salesperson was such a nincompoop… I feel inculing taxes it gets to $32k or so, but he does seem to enjoy the car a lot.

I feel he prefers the Toyota RAV4 , I'll get him to examine it out, its cost feels within reach.

Any propositions? k to k or so? The Nissan Rogue seems like a piece of crap and therefore I suggested not to make an effort in inspecting that, also the Murano is too pricey.
